Rupee maintains upward trajectory against dollar

ISLAMABAD: The rupee maintained its upward trajectory against the US dollar, appreciating by 3 paisa in interbank trading to close at Rs278.97, compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs279.00.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279 and Rs 280, respectively.

The price of the Euro against the rupee increased by Rs 2.29 to close at Rs 328.51 from the previous day’s close of Rs 326.22, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen went up by 01 paisa and closed at Rs 1.75, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed an increase of Rs 2.83 and closed at Rs 377.43 compared to the previous day’s Rs 374.60.

The exchange rates of the Emirate Dirham remained unchanged to close at Rs 75.96, while the Saudi Riyal decreased by 01 paisa and closed at Rs 74.33. APP
