Pakistan, Qatar deepen cooperation in Education, skills development

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, met with Ali Al Khater, Ambassador of Qatar to Pakistan, at the Qatar Embassy here on Tuesday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of education. The discussion focused on enhancing collaboration in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), promoting skill development initiatives, and expanding opportunities for students and academic exchange programs.

Wajiha emphasized the importance of equipping youth with market-relevant skills to meet evolving global demands. She highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to improving access to quality education and fostering international partnerships for human resource development.

The Ambassador reaffirmed Qatar’s interest in deepening cooperation with Pakistan in the education sector, particularly in areas of technical training, scholarships, and capacity building programs.

Both sides agreed to explore opportunities for institutional linkages, joint initiatives, and enhanced collaboration between educational institutions of two countries.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further strengthening Pakistan–Qatar relations through meaningful cooperation in education and professional training. APP
