DPM meets senior diplomats of Turkiye, Egypt & Saudi Arabia
SOM of Pakistan, KSA, Turkiye, Egypt held in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkiye, Musa Kulaklikaya, Assistant Foreign Minister of Egypt, Ambassador Nazih El Naggari, and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Prince Dr Abdullah bin Khalid bin Saud Al-Kabeer AlSaud who were here for the inaugural Senior Officials’ Meeting of the four countries.
He called for devising a cooperative framework among the four countries, focusing on the shared goals of peace, prosperity and economic development.
The DPM/FM appreciated the close, brotherly relations and convergence of views on important regional and global matters among the four brotherly countries, a DPM’s Office said.
Moreover, in a follow-up of the consultative meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Egypt (March 29), the senior officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of these respective countries held a meeting here on Tuesday.
Pakistan’s delegation to the Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) was led by Ambassador Tahir Andrabi, Additional Foreign Secretary/Spokesperson.
The delegations of Turkiye, Egypt and Saudi Arabia were headed respectively by Ambassador Musa Kulaklikaya, Deputy Foreign Minister; Ambassador Nazih El Naggari, Assistant Foreign Minister Prince Dr. Abdullah bin Khalid bin Saud Al-Kabeer AlSaud, Director General of the MFA, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.
Deliberations at the SOM would be submitted for consideration at the forthcoming foreign ministers meeting of the four brotherly countries, scheduled to be held in Antalya, Turkiye on April 17, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF).
The senior officials also made a joint call on the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and the Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch. (Sajid Ali Zaidi)
