CPNE delegation meets DG ISPR, praises army’s role in Marka-e-Haq

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE), led by its President Kazim Khan, called on Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) and lauded the armed forces for their outstanding performance during the Marka-e-Haq.
The delegation members said that ISPR played a pivotal role throughout the campaign by providing timely and credible information in response to the Indian media’s provocative propaganda. They added that the historic victory was the result of coordinated strategy and mutual cooperation among the people of Pakistan, the government, and the armed forces.
DG ISPR highlighted that the youth are the country’s real asset, and their positive thinking about Pakistan reflects a bright future for the nation. He said all acts of terrorism were fueled by India’s negative designs and resources, but Pakistan’s armed forces, with public support, had full capability to defeat this proxy war.
On Balochistan, DG ISPR said nefarious attempts to spread despair through negative propaganda would never succeed, as the patriotic and resilient people of the province were fully aware of the conspiracies of anti-state elements and their foreign masters.

He further commended the role of the media, stating that it had always acted responsibly in highlighting Pakistan’s challenges. During the “Battle of Truth,” he said, Pakistani media not only upheld journalistic ethics but also gave an effective response to Indian propaganda.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the CPNE delegation presented a commemorative shield to the DG ISPR.
