Many Bangladesh Air Force officers dismissed over links with RAW

Monitoring Desk

DHAKA: In a sweeping internal purge, the Bangladesh Air Force has dismissed many officers over alleged connections with India’s Research & Analysis Wing (RAW).

One squadron leader has been court-martialled and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, while six senior officers have been forcibly retired.

Officials say the crackdown follows investigations into Indian intelligence efforts to infiltrate and influence Bangladesh’s defence establishment. Analysts see it as part of a broader effort to dismantle networks fostered during the alleged Modi–Hasina collusion era.
