PTI hopes Islamabad peace talks to end Middle East conflict for good

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram on Saturday termed the ongoing US-Iran peace talks in Islamabad a remarkable diplomatic achievement, expressing hope that Pakistan’s efforts would help bring the Middle East conflict to an end and pave the way for lasting and durable peace in the region.

In a press statement issued on Saturday, PTI CIS said that the party had extended its sincere prayers for the success of the ongoing US-Iran talks currently underway in the federal capital.

He noted that Pakistan had played a responsible and constructive role in brokering a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, expressing hope that the truce would serve as a foundation for a more lasting and permanent resolution to the conflict.

“It is our earnest desire that these deliberations will yield constructive and mutually beneficial outcomes, advancing the collective interests of the Muslim Ummah, reinforcing Pakistan’s strategic priorities, and fostering peace, stability, and prosperity across the wider region,” he added.

PTI CIS stated that not only the people of Pakistan, but the entire world was closely watching Islamabad, following the talks with cautious optimism. He noted that the conflict had proven devastating not only in terms of human cost but also due to its colossal economic impact.

Waqas further said that Pakistan should also raise the issue of continued strikes in Lebanon at relevant diplomatic forums. “May Allah Almighty bless these efforts with wisdom and guidance, leading to fruitful resolutions that serve the greater good of all concerned parties,” he added.
