Kyrgyzstan, Tunisia discussed prospects for cooperation
BISHKEK: Kyrgyz Ambassador Ulukbek Maripov met with Chargé d’Affaires of Tunisia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Gaez Gharali in Riyadh.
Ulukbek Maripov told Kabar that the current state of Kyrgyz-Tunisian bilateral cooperation and promising areas for its development were discussed during the meeting. Kyrgyzstan expresses a deep interest in deepening political dialogue with Tunisia, as well as strengthening cooperation within international organizations and multilateral platforms.
Particular attention was paid to the regional agenda during the conversation. They exchanged views on the current military and political situation in the Middle East. The parties expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions in the region. The exceptional importance of resolving all conflicts exclusively through peaceful and diplomatic means was emphasized.
It was noted that, in order to elevate bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level, the parties decided to intensify contacts between their foreign ministries.
Following the meeting, they agreed to consider organizing telephone conversations between the foreign ministers of the two countries in the near future. APP
