Gold prices increase by Rs 1,000 per tola

ISLAMABAD: The price of 24 karat per tola gold increased by Rs 1,000 and was sold at Rs 523,762 on Tuesday compared to its sale at Rs 522,762 on the previous trading day, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also increased by Rs 857 to Rs 449,041 from Rs 448,184, whereas the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold went up by Rs 785 to Rs 411,635 from Rs 410,850.

The rates of per tola silver increased by Rs 128 to Rs 8,569 from Rs 8,441, whereas that of ten grams silver rose by Rs 110 to Rs 7,346 from Rs 7,236.

The price of gold in the international market increased by US$ 10 to US$ 5,010 from US$ 5,000, while that of silver went up by US$ 1.28 to US$ 80.85, the Association reported. APP
