5615 Pakistani safely returned home from Iran via Gwadar & Chagai: CM Bugti

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday has termed the large-scale repatriation of Pakistani citizens from Iran as a result of an organized and coordinated government effort.

He said on social networking site X that a total of 5615 Pakistani citizens have safely returned home from Iran via Gwadar and Chagai districts since February 28 till last night, while 431 other foreign citizens, including 2117 Iranian drivers, have also entered Pakistan from Iran.

The Balochistan Chief Minister praised the timely and effective performance of the district administrations of Gwadar and Chagai and said that the arriving passengers were taken care of in the best possible manner, they were provided with accommodation, food and other necessary facilities and their safe transfer was ensured.

He said that the government is fully mobilized for the convenience, safety and comfort of passengers and all the concerned agencies are performing their responsibilities efficiently with mutual coordination.

The Chief Minister reiterated the commitment that the government is utilizing all available resources to ensure effective management of border affairs, provision of public facilities and welfare of passengers at all costs. APP
