Workers remittance inflow increase to US $ 26.5b in 8 months
ISLAMABAD: The overseas workers’ remittances witnessed an increase of 10.5 per cent during the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2025-26, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Tuesday.
The inflow of $ 26.5 billion was recorded during July-February 2025-26 as compared to the inflow of $24.0 billion during July-February 2024-25, showing a growth of 10.5 per cent.
Similarly, on a year-on-year basis, the workers’ remittance went up by 5.2 per cent in February 2026 to $3.3 billion.
Remittances inflows during February 2026 were mainly sourced from United Arab Emirates (US$696.2 million), Saudi Arabia (US$685.5 million), United Kingdom (US$532.0 million) and United States of America (US$319.5 million). APP
