Pakistan,Turkiye entered new era of strategic partnership: PM

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the relations between Pakistan and Turkiye had entered a new era of strategic partnership under the “sagacious” guidance of Turkish President RecepTayyipErdogan.

The prime minister, who is currently on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, said in his message on the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye being celebrated today, that the two countries were striving together to unlock the vast potential of the time-tested and enduring ties in all areas of shared interest.

“On the auspicious occasion of the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye, I join the people of Pakistan in extending our warmest felicitations to my dear brother President Erdogan and to the brotherly people of Turkiye,” he wrote on his X timeline.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived here on Wednesday after concluding his official visit to Saudi Arabia.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, where the two sides agreed to launch a comprehensive Economic Cooperation Framework aimed at elevating Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations into a new era of strategic economic partnership.

He also attended the 9th edition of Future Investment Initiative Conference titled “Is Humanity in the Right Direction?”.

He said that over the decades, Turkiye’s remarkable transformation and economic resurgence under the bold and dynamic leadership of President Erdogan had earned global admiration.

“We take great pride in the accomplishments of our Turkish brothers and remain their steadfast partners in this journey of progress. Pakistan and Turkiye are united by bonds of faith, history, and fraternity that transcend geography and time,” Prime Minister Shehbaz remarked. Staff Report
