Iranian president discusses ceasefire, Islamabad talks with Putin
ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian discussed the current ceasefire and progress in negotiations in Islamabad in a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Pezeshkian said the biggest obstacle to achieving a fair agreement is the double standards and “hegemonic tendencies” of the American side. He added: “We are ready to reach a balanced and equitable agreement that ensures peace and security. Our red line is national interests. If the U.S. adheres to international legal frameworks, it will not be difficult to reach an agreement.”
Putin for his part said: “We support diplomatic means, and confirm the legitimacy of Iran’s positions, including those related to compensation for losses resulting from aggression and obtaining security guarantees. Monitoring Desk
