Rupee gains 01 paisa against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Rupee on Tuesday appreciated by 01 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 279.06 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 279.07.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279.00 and Rs 280.10, respectively.

The price of the Euro against the rupee decreased by Rs 0.41 to close at Rs 322.40 from the previous day’s close of Rs 322.81, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen came down by 01 paisa and closed at Rs 1.74, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed a decrease of Rs 0.37 and closed at Rs 369.62 compared to the previous day’s Rs 369.99.

The exchange rate of the Emirate Dirham increased by 01 paisa and closed at Rs 75.98 while the Saudi Riyal remained unchanged to close Rs 74.33. APP
