MUZAFFARABAD: Pakistan has attained an unprecedented diplomatic standing, emerging as a credible and trusted mediator in efforts to de-escalate tensions surrounding the Iran conflict, says Masood Khan, former Ambassador of Pakistan to the US, China, and the United Nations.

Khan highlighted Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi’s statement expressing confidence in Pakistan’s mediation efforts, reflecting deep-rooted historical, cultural, and strategic ties between Pakistan and Iran, as well as growing international trust in Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach.

He noted Pakistan’s swift diplomatic engagement with key regional and global capitals, positioning it at the forefront of mediation and establishing a new “diplomatic corridor”.
