Beijing calls for immediate cessation of military action
BEIJING: China opposed the US and Israel launching military strikes against Iran in violation of international law, supports Iran in safeguarding its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and national dignity, and supports Iran to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning said on Friday.
China always advocates solving the problem through political and diplomatic means, and calls for the immediate cessation of military operations to prevent the spread and spillover of fighting and avoid further escalation of the situation, she said during her regular briefing.
