Rupee gains 03 paisa against US dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Rupee on Wednesday appreciated by 03 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 279.42 compared to the previous day’s closing at Rs 279.45.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279 and Rs 280.50, respectively.

The price of the Euro against the Rupee decreased by Rs 1.07 to close at Rs 324.29 from the previous day’s close of Rs 325.36, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen remained unchanged at Rs 1.77, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed an increase of Rs 0.59 and closed at Rs 373.11 compared to the previous day’s Rs 372.52.

The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal came down 01 and 04 paisa to close at Rs 76.07 and Rs 74.42, respectively. APP
