Sui Gas Task Force disconnects six meters, inspects 60 cases
MULTAN: The UFG Control Task Force of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited has intensified its crackdown against gas theft, illegal usage, and technical violations on the directives of the General Manager.
During recent operations in various areas, the task force inspected 60 locations. As a result of these inspections, six gas meters were disconnected over violations.
According to official details, two meters that had been illegally shifted were removed, while four meters were found to be in violation of regulations due to the use of gas compressors. The concerned meters were subsequently disconnected in accordance with company rules.
Officials stated that the primary objective of these operations is not only to curb gas theft but also to improve gas pressure, ensure uninterrupted supply to consumers, and promptly address public complaints.
On the occasion, the General Manager of Sui Gas Multan emphasized that the safety of consumers’ lives and property remains a top priority for the organization. He advised consumers to ensure there is no smell of gas before using any gas appliances. In case of gas leakage or odor, citizens are urged to immediately open all doors and windows and strictly avoid turning on any gas or electrical appliances.
The General Manager further clarified that indiscriminate action against gas theft and illegal activities will continue in the future to guarantee safe, reliable, and continuous gas supply to all consumers. APP
