Gold price posts small increase
ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan posted a small increase on Wednesday, as international rates continued to rise closer to $5,200 per ounce.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose to Rs. 541,262 after gaining Rs. 1,300 during the day. Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 464,044, up Rs. 1,114, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, gold per tola had closed at Rs. 539,962 after gaining Rs. 3,400 during the day. In the international market, gold prices increased by $13 to reach $5,185 per ounce, with a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices also rose even higher, rising by Rs. 268 to settle at Rs. 9,554 per tola. Staff Report
