COLOMBO: The much-anticipated Super Eight clash between Pakistan and New Zealand in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 was abandoned due to rain without a single ball being bowled, leaving both teams earning one point each, at R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first against New Zealand in their first encounter of the tournament’s Super Eight phase.
