Gold price surges by Rs 2,500 per tola

ISLAMABAD: The price of 24 karat per tola gold increased by Rs 2,500 and was sold at Rs 526,462 on Friday compared to its sale at Rs 523,962 on the previous trading day, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also increased by Rs 2,144 to Rs 451,356 from Rs 449,212, whereas the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold rose by Rs 1,966 to Rs 413,758 from Rs 411,792.

The price of per tola silver increased by Rs 170 to Rs 8,574, while that of 10 grams of 24 karat silver went up by Rs 145 to Rs 7,350.

In the international market, the price of gold increased by $25 to $5,037, whereas that of silver rose by $1.70 to $80.90, the Association reported. APP
