Shehbaz vows to promote economic partnership with Turkiye
PM, President discuss national security, Gaza Peace Board, and AJK elections
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday met President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where leaders of both Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) participated.
The meeting focused on enhancing the working relationship between the two parties and continuing the consultative process at the party level.
Sources confirmed that discussions also covered the country’s overall political, economic, and security situation. Key national and internal security matters were deliberated, while consultation took place on the upcoming election of the new President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Both leaders also exchanged views on the Gaza Peace Board and Pakistan’s perspective on the ongoing situation in the region. The meeting reflected coordination between the ruling and allied parties on matters of national and regional significance.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to further promote its brotherly relations and economic partnership with Turkiye.
He was talking to a delegation of Turkiye led by Chairman of the Board of Turkish Agricultural Technologies Cluster, Abdulkadir Karagöz, in Islamabad .
The Prime Minister said there are numerous opportunities to further enhance cooperation in the agriculture and livestock sectors with Turkiye.
Appreciating the Turkiye’s development, achieved by the use of modern technology in the agricultural produce and livestock sectors, he said Pakistan is also determined to align its agricultural sector with innovation.
Shehbaz Sharif said nature has blessed Pakistan with immense resources in the agricultural sector and efforts are afoot to fully utilize these resources by incorporating modern technology.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan and Turkiye can play an important role together in the global food value chain.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Turkish Agricultural Technologies Cluster, Abdulkadir Karagöz, said the brotherly leadership of Turkiye and Pakistan is a beacon of light for further enhancing cooperation between business community.
He also gave a briefing on the use of modern technology to increase production.
