Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has announced a special humanitarian relief package for the people of Gaza for the holy month of Ramazan. Relief activities are currently underway in both Pakistan and Egypt as part of the initiative.
Alkhidmat Foundation Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri, along with Vice President Muhammad Abdus Shakoor, recently visited Egypt in this regard. During the visit, seven trucks carrying humanitarian aid were dispatched from Cairo to Gaza. The consignment includes tents to protect families from cold and rain, as well as food packages for 3,360 families to meet their basic needs during Ramadan.
President Aghosh UK Dr Adeel Riaz, President Aghosh Alkhidmat USA Dr Mahmood Alam, along with other officials and volunteers, were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Alkhidmat representatives visited residential towers allocated for Gaza refugees and orphan children in Egypt. They met the displaced families and orphaned children, discussed their challenges and urgent needs, and appreciated their resilience in extremely difficult circumstances. The delegation reiterated Alkhidmat Foundation’s commitment to providing all possible support.
In addition, a dinner reception was hosted in Cairo by Alkhidmat Foundation in honour of 100 affected Gaza families, including orphans, widows and refugees. Relief packages and gifts were distributed among the attendees. Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan officials were also present at the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Waqas Jafri said that Alkhidmat Pakistan, in collaboration with its international partners and with the support of the Pakistani people, has been providing humanitarian assistance to Gaza since the first day of the conflict. “Our resolve is to continue this mission of service until the rehabilitation of Gaza’s affected population is fully achieved,” he said.
He further stated that prior to Ramadan, Alkhidmat Foundation, in cooperation with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), will dispatch four chartered aircraft carrying 400 tonnes of food supplies from Pakistan to El-Arish Airport in Egypt. The relief goods will then be transported overland into Gaza for distribution among the affected population.
Syed Waqas Jafri added that alongside rescue and relief operations, Alkhidmat has ensured continuity of education for Gaza’s youth and children. Through its academic scholarship programme, Alkhidmat is supporting Palestinian students from Gaza in Pakistan, Turkiye, Egypt and other countries. He also highlighted ongoing medical relief efforts, including treatment facilities in Egypt and the transfer of some injured patients to Pakistan.
He noted that inside Gaza, Alkhidmat’s teams remain actively engaged in providing humanitarian assistance, cooked meals, education, healthcare services and clean drinking water.
Addressing the gathering, Muhammad Abdus Shakoor said that in the next phase, Alkhidmat plans to launch the Bano Qabil skills development programme for Palestinian youth from Gaza in Cairo and Pakistan. He said both virtual and physical labs would enable young people inside Gaza to acquire modern technical and digital skills, with plans to establish skill centres inside Gaza when circumstances permit.
