Passing Out Parade held at PAF Airmen Academy, Korangi
KARACHI: The Passing Out Parade of trainees from Entries No 2306, 2406 and 2412 was held at the PAF Airmen Academy, Korangi, Karachi.
Air Marshal Kashif Qamar, Deputy President NASTP Advisory Board, Pakistan Air Force, was the chief guest on the occasion. Upon arrival, he was received by Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Shahid Afzaal, Air Officer Commanding, PAF Airmen Academy, Korangi Creek. A total of 1,155 trainees from the Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy and allied countries successfully completed their training.
Addressing the parade, the chief guest said that the Pakistan Air Force is a highly professional organisation, internationally recognised as a combat-efficient force due to its exemplary courage, operational preparedness and professional excellence. He highlighted that, in line with the vision of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, PAF Airmen Academy Korangi is imparting training aligned with the evolving dynamics of contemporary warfare to effectively meet future challenges.
He said history bears witness to PAF’s consistent ability to rise to the nation’s expectations during times of trial through valour and unmatched professionalism. With the induction of modern aircraft and sophisticated air defence systems, he noted, PAF is counted among the leading air forces of the world. He underscored that PAF’s success in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos against Indian transgression reflects the highest standards of operational preparedness and the resolute leadership of the Chief of the Air Staff. He added that the effective employment of full-spectrum multi-domain operations—integrating space, cyber and electronic warfare alongside long-range precision assets and unmanned systems—underscores the need to harmonise training and professionalism with contemporary warfare requirements to produce competent and skilled airmen.
During the ceremony, trophies were awarded to high achievers. The prestigious Chief of the Air Staff Trophy for Overall Best Performance was won by Aircraftman Sergeant Ahmed Hussain Arif. The Asghar Khan Trophy for Best in Aeronautics was secured by Aircraftman Hamza Ali, while Aircraftman Sergeant Ahmed Hussain Arif also earned the Nur Khan Trophy for excellence in Aero Avionics Technology. Academy Sergeant Aircraftman Shafaat Noor clinched the Air Officer Commanding Trophy for Best in General Service Training, while the Best Performance Trophy for Foreign Trainee was awarded to LAC THGND Herath of Sri Lanka.
The chief guest congratulated the graduating trainees and their parents, extended his best wishes for their future assignments, and paid tribute to the Academy’s instructional staff for their professionalism, commitment and dedication to excellence. Staff Report
