John Cena reveals nicest WWE star in business

NEW YORK: WWE star John Cena has revealed that AJ Styles is the nicest person in the promotion. While speaking on Bill Simmons’ YouTube channel, Cena shared a story about his famous feud with Styles. He said that it was very difficult for him to find anything negative about his opponent to use in their rivalry. Cena said, “AJ is the nicest human being in sports entertainment.”

The WWE legend explained that when he first sat down with Styles to plan his fight with him. He didn’t even know what the goal of fighting was. “Man, this is going to be okay. Why are we fighting?” He’s like, ‘What do you mean, why are we fighting?’ I want to be the champ.’ That’s not good enough,” Cena said. Cena went back to his bus to search for anything negative about Styles, so that he could use it against him during their feud. He found nothing, and then they eventually figured out the story together.

Cena said Styles told him, “Okay, this is AJ. This isn’t Allan, but maybe AJ’s thinking that if you were never around, I would be where you’re at, and I’d be so much better. Because when in that ring, I am better.” I’m like, ‘We got it.’” “And we built our story, culminating with even the match at the Royal Rumble with: ‘I, AJ, am a better in-ring performer. You are charismatic but hella lucky. You put these two in a ring together, and I will run circles around you every time.’” Cena said that the approach immediately set the audience, WWE fans were backing him, and longtime TNA fans were behind Styles. It made their feud a successful one. Cena finished by saying the biggest lesson was simple, “You have to sit and ask, ‘Why are we fighting?’” Cena will call time on his illustrious career on December 13 this year with his last match, where his opponent will be either LA Knight or Gunther (depending on who wins the Last Time is Now Tournament).
