“Ten terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire between them and the CTD team in the Aghbarg neighbourhood of Quetta,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
“CTD carried out the operation after receiving a tip-off from intelligence agencies,” he said, adding that “upon reaching the area, they were attacked by the terrorists but promptly retaliated.”
“Heavy ammunition and weapons were recovered from the slain terrorists,” as per the statement.
The spokesperson said that the “terrorists had previously been involved in attacking security forces and belonged to a banned terrorist outfit.”

“Further investigation into the matter is underway,” the statement said.
Security forces eliminated three India-sponsored terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan and arrested four others attempting to flee in women’s attire during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
According to ISPR, an IBO was carried out in Kech District, where security forces raided a terrorist hideout and neutralised three India-sponsored terrorists. A cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the slain militants, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.
“Security forces of Pakistan remain determined to eliminate the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from our soil and are committed to bringing all perpetrators and their facilitators to justice,” the ISPR stated.
In a separate operation in Khuzdar District on Wednesday, security forces targeted terrorists linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al Hindustan. Four militants attempting to flee by disguising themselves in women’s attire were apprehended. Weapons and ammunition were also seized from their possession, according to the military’s media wing.
A sanitisation operation is underway in the area to ensure no other terrorists remain. The ISPR added that Pakistan’s security forces will continue to pursue and neutralise all threats to national peace and stability.
It is pertinent to mention that security forces killed a total of 13 terrorists in separate IBOs conducted in Quetta and Kech districts on Tuesday and Wednesday. Staff Report
