Pakistan highly values cooperation with Japan: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured to provide all possible facilitation to Japanese investors and financial institutions for investment in Pakistan.
Talking to DG Mining and Metals Finance Department of Japan Bank for International Cooperation Taro Kato in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said Pakistan highly values its diplomatic and economic cooperation with Japan.
The Prime Minister stated that in the past, Pakistan and Japan enjoyed strong collaboration in the fields of industry and trade. Both countries are committed to renewing their economic cooperation.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan can greatly benefit from Japan’s technological innovations and professional expertise, particularly in agriculture, IT, textiles and other sectors.
He noted that major economic and development projects in Pakistan are attracting significant interest and support from global financial institutions and international investors.
The Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan’s affordable labour market offers a competitive environment to international investors.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to making the country a safe destination for investors and investments.
