Balochistan to form sports teams honoring martyrs’ children

Staff Report
QUETTA: Provincial Advisor on Sports and Youth Affairs, Meena Majeed Baloch has said that equal opportunities for sports will be provided to the children of martyrs in Balochistan so that they can use their talents and bring glory to not only the province but also the country.

She said this during a meeting with members of the Martyrs Farm. On this occasion, the Sports Advisor said that sports fields are rapidly being developed in Balochistan and the government is making every effort to include youth from every section of society in these fields, especially those boys and girls whose parents sacrificed their lives for the country. She said that bringing such children forward in the sports fields is tantamount to raising their morale and making them active citizens of the society.

Meena Majeed Baloch said that teams in the name of martyrs will be formed in every game in Balochistan so that these teams can keep the mission of martyrs alive and give the message to the new generation that the families of those who made sacrifices are not alone, but the entire province and the government stand with them.

He further said that instead of restricting the youth to just sports, providing them with opportunities to learn technical and modern skills is also among the priorities of the government. For this purpose, the Youth Affairs Department will train the youth of Balochistan in freelancing and modern technology so that they can get jobs sitting at home and become economically independent.

The Sports Advisor also expressed his determination that special scholarships will be given to the children of martyrs, educational facilities will be provided and at the same time employment opportunities will be created for them so that they can move towards a better future.

He said that the playgrounds are not just a source of entertainment but a symbol of peace, brotherhood and progress. There is immense talent among the youth of Balochistan, the only need is to give them opportunities. The government will continue its efforts in this regard.
