Punjab ready to extend all possible resources, assistance to KP: Maryam

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday spoke with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur via telephone to express sympathies over the loss of lives caused by floods in the province.

Maryam Nawaz extended heartfelt condolences to the affected families and also expressed grief over the martyrdoms in a recent helicopter crash.

She assured that the Punjab government stands ready to extend all possible resources and assistance to the people and government of KP during this difficult time. “The people of Punjab share the sorrow of their brothers and sisters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz also conveyed condolences on behalf of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

In response, CM Ali Amin Gandapur thanked Maryam Nawaz for her call and kind words. He appreciated her gesture of solidarity and the assurance of support from the Punjab government.
