Police martyrs’ children to receive free education, admission, facilities

LAHORE: In a significant step towards supporting families of martyred police personnel, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and College CEO Sheikh Hassan Munir have signed an agreement.
The meeting was attended by senior officers, including Additional IG Welfare and Finance Imran Arshad, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, AIG Inspection Shaista Nadeem, and AIG Administration Asad Ijaz Malhi.
According to the details of the agreement, children of police martyrs will receive free education, admission, and other facilities.
Children of serving police officers will receive a 50% discount on admission and monthly fees. Children of officers transferring during service will also benefit from this discount.
Kingsford College has also announced fee concessions for children of police martyrs and officers. He further stated that the students of the college will also participate in programs like “Friends of Police” and “Volunteers in Police.”
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stated that under the MOU, children of police personnel will have access to the best educational opportunities.
He further mentioned that so far, such MOUs have been signed with 13 renowned educational institutions to provide concessional or free education to children of martyrs and employees.
