WASHINGON: Former US President Donald Trump has claimed that his presence in the White House prevented six major wars around the world, including potential conflicts between India and Pakistan, and other long-standing regional disputes.

“If I weren’t around, you’d have, right now, six major wars going on. India would be fighting with Pakistan,” Trump said, asserting that his leadership helped de-escalate tensions in multiple global hotspots.

He pointed to the dispute between Thailand and Cambodia, claiming that his intervention, including the threat to end trade talks, led to a ceasefire between the two countries.

Trump also highlighted his role in easing tensions between Serbia and Kosovo, as well as supporting a peace agreement between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

While Trump listed four regions, he did not specify the remaining two conflicts he believes he prevented.
