England’s veteran batter Root dominates Test rankings

LONDON: England’s veteran batter Joe Root has retained the number one spot in the Test rankings as the International Cricket Council (ICC) issued the latest rankings on Wednesday.
According to details, Root’s fellowman Harry Brook was placed at the second spot. Indian batter Rishabh Pant has jumped to the sixth spot. Australian batter Travis Head has claimed the 10th spot in red-ball cricket. None of the Pakistani batters could secure any of the positions in the top 10 rankings. However, Pakistan vice-captain Saud Shakeel was placed at the 11th position, whereas Mohammad Rizwan claimed the 19th position. Meanwhile, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was ruling the bowling rankings. Pakistan spinner Noman Ali was placed at the 5th position.
