Hindutva mob attacks Christians in Odisha, eight injured

BHUBANESWAR: Eight members of the Christian community were injured after being attacked by a Hindutva mob in the BJP-ruled Indian state of Odisha.
The incident took place in Malkangiri district when members of the RSS-affiliated Bajrang Dal assaulted the minority group for refusing to convert to Hinduism.
Pallab Lima, the state general secretary of the Rashtriya Christian Morcha, stated that the victims were attacked with weapons, including axes, by a mob of hundreds while they were returning from a church service in Kotamateru village.
Lima further revealed that Hindutva goons have been issuing threats to Christians in the state, pressuring them to convert to Hinduism since last year. Local police intervened and shifted the injured to a hospital.–NNI
